Ticketed Foundation Events

When you attend an Air Force Museum Foundation event, your ticket purchase helps our 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization support the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force™. The Foundation hosts After Dark and Celebrating Aviation events, as well as a variety of other exciting events.

Bombers & Brews is on time, on target!

The Air Force Museum Foundation’s popular adults-only After Dark: Bombers & Brews will take place on November 8 at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force.

If the Museum remains closed, this event will be hosted entirely by Foundation staff.

Newly added – Attendees will have the extraordinary opportunity to look inside the legendary Boeing B-17F Flying Fortress Memphis Belle! They will also have the opportunity to enter the cockpit of the Boeing B-1B Lancer (ladder access may limit some attendees), and will be able to look inside the cockpit of the Museum’s record-setting Convair B-58 Hustler! And the brand new interactive Douglas A-26 Invader simulator, centerpiece of the new Tactical Airpower in Europe exhibit, will be open. (Unfortunately, due to the Museum closure, we will not be able to open the B-52 cockpit this year as we had planned.)

New this year: local breweries will be tapping kegs to share their brew with you – brewery samples from Warped Wing Brewing Co, Fifth Street Brewpub, and Heavier than Air Brewing Co are included with your ticket purchase!

There will be dancing to live music by local band 5, playing your favorites from the 60s through today. You’ll be able to view rare artifacts from the Wright State University archives, and Convair B-36 Peacemaker-enthusiast Brian Pierson will bring some of his artifacts related to his efforts to build a B-36 cockpit in his garage.

There will also be two rounds of trivia with prizes, a caricature artist, heavy hors d’oeuvres, cash bars, and much more!

After Dark events are for adults only (ages 21+). Tickets for Bombers & Brews are $45. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m., and the event will run from 6-10 p.m.

Experience the Museum in a whole new light!

Special Exhibits

An exhibit featuring dinosaurs.

The Air Force Museum Foundation funds special exhibits to attract visitors who might not otherwise visit the Museum. Previous special exhibits include OceanXperience by Flying Fish Exhibits, Discover Steampunk by Imagine Exhibitions, and Dinosaurs in Motion by Imagine Exhibitions. While not specifically aviation-focused, these special exhibits introduce audiences of all ages to a variety of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) concepts.

If your organization is interested in sponsoring an exhibit, we would love to hear from you. Please contact us for more information.
