FRIENDship Matters.

The Friends of the National Museum of the United States Air Force (NMUSAF) are a vibrant community of aviation heritage supporters.  As a Friend, you will support the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force™ and its mission to preserve and share the Air Force story.

When you give to the Air Force Museum Foundation, Inc., or become a Friend of the National Museum of the United States Air Force, you are supporting the oldest and largest military aviation museum in the world. Thanks to you, the NMUSAF encompasses the past, present, and future of military aviation presented through old, familiar museum techniques, as well as modern, state-of-the-art technology. You preserve the history and heritage of the Air Force through the restoration of historic aircraft such as the B-17E Flying Fortress Memphis Belle, and the presentation of exhibits like the augmented reality D-Day: Freedom from Above which used cutting edge technology.

You celebrate the men and women of the Air Force through historical exhibits such as the Women in the Air Force exhibit featuring (among others) Maj Gen Jeannie Flynn Leavitt, the first female Air Force fighter pilot, as well as live appearances by veterans such as Lt Col Dick Rutan, who flew combat in Vietnam and later flew the Voyager — the first aircraft to circle the world non-stop without refueling. And you foster the next generation of Air Force members through educational classes like Introduction to Becoming a Pilot, the computer network security learning and competition program CyberPatriot, and the NMUSAF’s two teams participating in The American Rocketry Challenge – the largest rocket contest in the world.

Won’t you become part of this amazing mission and become a Friend today?
